| Hot Stone Massage Back to Top This technique uses heated stones to enhance a bodywork session. Incorporating these smooth, warm stones helps to relieve muscle tension, increase circulation and provide a profoundly relaxation session. These warm stones are used in several different ways during this treatment. Smaller, flatter stones are placed under and on top of the body, allowing to pre-heat muscles that will be worked on later in the session. Stones are also oiled and rubbed along different parts of the body providing deep heat for all areas. At times, stones are also used as massage tools, pressing comfortably but more deeply into the muscles to release knots and trigger points. While not as smooth and flowing as most massages, this treatment is feels great and is a wonderful way to release muscle tissue that is unrelenting and stubborn without going too deeply and causing pain. It is important to note that each practitioner develops their own style of using the stones, so the treatment will vary from therapist to therapist. As with all sessions, explain what you would like to achieve with your session to your practitioner before hand so they can tailor the massage to your needs for that day. In the words of one satisfied client, “Hot Stone massage rocks!” |

Others use journeys over several sessions for deep personal exploration. Journeys can help clients resolve inner conflicts, heal childhood trauma, dissolve unproductive behavior patterns, or visit past lives. Unlike traditional hypnotherapy, these journeys are not directly effective for smoking cessation or weight loss. They can, however, assist in uncovering reasons that underlie smoking and eating behaviors. Many clients have used this method to:
While there can never be a guarantee that this method will work for everyone, most clients receive a 10-15 minute phone consultation prior to their first session to help determine if this type of therapy will be effective and beneficial at this time in their lives. |
